Ramaswamy Iyer bio

Ramaswamy Iyer is the former Secretary of Water Resources for the Government of India. According to the Asian Development Bank, Iyer was “the initator and principal draftsman of India’s first National Water Policy in 1987.” Iyer is an expert on dams and has collaborated with the World Bank to improve water systems in different countries. He is now an honorary research professor at the Centre for Policy Research.

Robert Kennedy biography

Robert Kennedy Jr. is the president of the Waterkeepers Alliance. He started as a prosecuting attorney for Riverkeepers. In his association with the organizations and his dedication to environmental issues, Kennedy has been named by Time magazine as one of the “Heroes for the Planet.” "To me, the environment cannot be separated from the economy, housing, civil rights and human rights. How we distribute the goods of the earth is the best measure of our democracy," said Kennedy to Time magazine. According to his personal website, Kennedy has fought for environmental issues all across the United States and has helped several indigenous groups in Latin America and Canada protect their land and natural resources. He is the author of four books and has his own radio show, Ring of Fire.
